Allan began his musical career on stage at the age of 3 along with his family at the Cultural Center in British Guyana where he was born in Georgetown. He had the privilege of touring and performing throughout Barbados, Venezuela, Suriname and Trinidad  before moving to the United States in 1988.

He settled in Santa Barbara, California and continued performing for celebrities such as Michael Douglas, Barbara Streisand and Jeff Bridges to name a few. At the age of 21, Allan was offered a contract at the Mirage and Bellagio hotels in Las Vegas, where he played for just over a year. He has performed with artists such as Kenny Loggins, Lionel Richie and Jimmy Messina.

Allan is descended from South American ethnicity and has made good use of his roots to popularize his Caribbean musical style through Calypso and Reggae. He has a musical versatility which allows him to perform a full show of Country music with a packed dance floor of line dancers, to Motown and Rock'n'Roll as well as Jazz and Big Band.  He also includes Pop, Gospel and R & B in his resume.

Allan spends his time between Santa Barbara, California and Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife Jill where along with studio work and private lessons he is wrapping up an album of original works titled ‘Rooftop’. He teaches piano, drums, guitar, bass and vocals privately to students ages 4 through adult. Allan recorded the song ‘Smile’ in the 2015 remake of the movie Black Beauty.

In addition to his solo career, Allan also performs lead vocals and drums in his band AF Island, a concept that he created that brings in different accomplished and touring musicians to complete AF Island – Family & Friends for individual performances. He is able to pull together anywhere from 2 musicians to a big band or full orchestra according to clients needs.
